Faraday's ice Pail

From physick.wikispaces.com

Michael Faraday, is considered by many to be one of the most intelligent of the physicists.
His most famous contibution is the Faraday's Ice Pail.
It moves charge over a conductor, a negative charged sphere is lowered into a Ice Pail.
The sphere repels free election in the copper outside the pail.
Opposites attract and the inside of the pail becomes positive.
It flows down the wire to an electroscope and the bar moves.
And it shows the principles of electrostatic induction.
